With love, I’ll tell you all my reasons about why to live in Spain!

How many people have said to me, “Oh you live in Spain, wow that’s so awesome, with the nice weather and everything, I wish I could to that”…

Well, first of all, you can. As I explained in the pages as Mindset, and The Law of Attraction, if you want something you can achieve your goals and dreams. Don’t forget to enjoy the process to it!

If you would like to know how I live my life in Spain, monthly I write blogs for Jo_Wanderlust about living in Spain. Click on the link to read the blogs.

Why the South of Spain is awesome?

Beach | Nature | Weater

  • The number of sunny days, in Málaga more or less 300 sunny days a year! (for me one of the BIG reasons to live in Spain)
  • You have really nice beaches where you can relax, recharge your body with the easy flow of living, or hang out with friends, music, and drinks have an awesome summer night.
    • I don’t think the beach of Málaga is the best, better places to go are Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Nerja, Pedregalejo and El Palo.
  • You will find your rest here because everything goes a little sloooow. You do not have to be in a hurry. Won’t help, been there done that.
  • During the midday in for a round of shopping? Better take a nap (on the beach) because a lot of shops are closed.
    • Of course, the biggest shops are open, but at the beginning of living here, I was most active around 14:00/15:00 to do things in the center, and I couldn’t buy what I wanted because of the “siësta”.

Food | Tapas | Drinks | Free-days

  • Everyone enjoys their free time with a drink, beer, wine or the famous sangria, with of course una tapita, tapa.
  • Spain is one of the countries with the most days off (Perfect reasons to live in Spain)
I stopped counting, but I every time when someone says, “Mañana es día de la fiesta”, “Tomorrow is a free day”, I say… “Ah, yes of course, as always”.

Some free days are really awesome. At the end of June, for example, is San Juan. Everyone is drinking on the streets and go to the beaches at night. On the beaches will be a big party with DJ and fireplaces. The atmosphere is really cool, barefoot in the sand with your drink in your hand enjoying the night together.

In April they celebrate Semana Santa, for 8 days more or less. A lot of people are visiting Málaga at this time of the year. And I have the “luck” to live in the street where they pass by with the processions… Just joking, it’s not luck at all because barely I could enter or go out of my house haha.

In August we have 1 week of Feria in Málaga. This is such a cool week! People wear special Feria clothes which are like flamenco dresses and once again people are drinking and partying with no shame.

Sports | Dance | Moving

  • DANCE, DANCE, DANCE! You can dance literally every night in different clubs or bars. Club dancing, but also you can dance bachata, salsa or kizomba.
  • Gym fanatic? Just go to the beach, over there you have place specially made for doing exercises. After your gym session, you can straight away dive into the sea.

Culture | People

People give a lot of compliments to each other.

  • In the beginning, I thought it was weird that an old lady said to me: “Hola, guapa!”, is like “Hey, beautiful”. But everyone does it. Friends say it even more, “Oye, mira qué guapa estás no¿?”, “Hey, look at you how beautiful you are”

Travel Tips

  • Around Málaga there are so many beautiful places. Andalusia is really really beautiful. With nice coasts, small villages, mountains, etc.
  • Few days to Barcelona? Let’s go! Sometimes a single ticket can cost only €15! But normally a round ticket is about €60. But that’s not even expensive.

Spain is so beautiful, I hope I inspired you with all the reasons to live in Spain, here I’ve put some photos which I’ve made

I really can say I’m in love with the way of living here! I’m getting excited to talk about living in Spain so I want to share my story with everyone about how awesome it is to live here.
